Armenia – Georgia: establishing Economic Union

Abstract

The introduced project is policy-relevant research project. Its main objective is research and in-depth analysis of the issue from different sides (economy, strategy, law) in order to clarify all the aspects of the above-mentioned topic.

The research object is limited by South Caucasus region. This kind of choice allows to find out political, economic, social features of the region, define interests of the regional states (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan), the main reasons and consequences of their conjunction with the interests of main external powers – Russia, EU and USA, and also regional powers - Turkey and Iran.

Undoubtedly, this research project has both theoretical and practical value as there is a possibility to implement its ideas in Armenia’s regional strategy. It (project strategy) also serves to realize Armenian and Georgian national interests in the region.
